Featured Recipe: Bourbon Beef Tips

This simple dinner recipe will please the pickiest of eaters and impress the harshest of critics. Grass-fed beef sirloin is smothered in a simple sauce made up of pure maple syrup, wheat-free Worcestershire, and a hint of bourbon.  It is DELISH!
Ingredients:
  • 1½ lbs beef sirloin
  • 8 oz white button mushrooms, stems removed
  • ½ c pure maple syrup
  • 3 T bourbon
  • ¼ c wheat-free Worcestershire sauce
  • Sea salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions:
Step 1 : Cube steak into 1 inch cubes.

Step 2: Place beef cubes in a gallon ziplock bag.  Add maple syrup, bourbon, Worcestershire, sea salt and black pepper to taste.

Step 3: Allow to sit in bag, in fridge for 2-4 hours.

Step 4: Heat a large skillet over high heat. You want the skillet to be hot before pouring bag in. Once skillet it HOT. Pour in contents of ziplock bag, including sauce.

Step 5: After meat has cooked about 5 minutes, stirring frequently, add mushrooms to skillet.

Step 6: Simmer meat and mushrooms in sauce for 7- 10 minutes.

Step 7, Once sauce thickens to the consistency of cold maple syrup and beef reaches the desired wellness, remove from heat.

  8. Remove once desired wellness is reached and sauce is consistency of cold maple syrup.
  9. Plate and serve!
