Sauteed Asparagus and Peas

Sauteed Asparagus and Peas

These two veggies go together so well your kids won't know what hit em!
Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • ¼ cup minced shallots
  • 1 bunch thin asparagus spears, ends trimmed, cut into 1-1/2-inch pieces on a diagonal
  • 1 cup thawed frozen peas
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon honey
Instructions
  1. Melt butter in medium saucepan over medium-low heat
  2. Add shallots and cook, stirring frequently, until soft (4-5 minutes)
  3. Add asparagus
  4. Salt and pepper to taste
  5. Continue cooking and stirring frequently for about 5 minutes
  6. Add peas and honey and cook for 1 minute until peas are warmed
  7. Salt and pepper to taste
  8. Enjoy!
