Happy New Year!! I hope 2016 is off to an amazing start for you. If you are like Celia and me (and most Americans around the country,) you have probably made some wellness goals that include eating healthier and exercising more. This feature should be a great addition to help you reach those goals. Packed full of real food ingredients and bursting with tasty chocolaty goodness, this recipe makes for the perfect breakfast smoothie, after-workout shake, or even an afternoon boost for adults and kids alike!
Ingredients:
- 8 oz almond milk or coconut milk
- 1 c sliced strawberries
- 1 c sunflower butter or nut butter of your choice
- 3 T raw local honey
- 3 T cocoa powder
- 3 c ice
Instructions:
Step 1: Chop leaves off the strawberries, and quarter.
Step 2: Place all ingredients into a blender.
Step 3: Blend on high until desired consistency is reached.
Step 4: Pour into cups, serve and enjoy!
I know some people have a knack for whipping up delicious smoothies with no instructions, but I bet I am not alone when I say that I am NOT one of those people.
