Lamb Asparagus Stew

- 2 lb asparagus
- 1 lb lamb meat, cubed
- 2 medium onion, chopped
- 6 T butter
- 2 c water
- salt, pepper, and allspice to taste
- juice of 2 lemons
- Cut asparagus spears into 2 inch lengths, discarding tough portion at the bottom.
- Wash and drain.
- Sauté meat and onions in butter until lightly brown.
- Add water, salt, and spices.
- Cook until tender.
- Add asparagus.
- Simmer for 15 minutes or until tender.
- Add lemon juice.
