This week’s feature is a simple paleo dessert that uses REAL food ingredients. It’s easy enough to whip up on any given weeknight, but delicious enough for the whole family to believe they are enjoying a gourmet treat!
Ingredients
- 1 large banana
- 1 t olive oil
- 2 T pasture butter
- 1 T raw organic honey
- sprinkle of allspice
- pecan or walnut pieces, optional
Step 1: Slice banana, ¼ to ½ inch thick.
Step 2: Heat 1 T of butter in a small skillet over medium heat. Place bananas in skillet and brown both sides.
Step 3: While bananas are browning, melt remaining butter in small saucepan. Add honey and spices to butter.
Step 4: Plate the bananas equally for two servings, and drizzle honey butter over the top. Top with nuts if desired.
